Digital Soft Goods: Eyewear Case
I have been using the Adobe Substance 3D suite to explore ways to develop various digital models and materials for soft goods. The models are created in Substance Modeler, 3DS Max, SolidWorks, etc., and Substance Painter is used to apply materials and details to them. The models are then rendered in Substance Stager.
This is a small eyewear case modeled in Substance Modeler. The odd geometry of the liner hinge area was fairly easy to create using the merging, smoothing, and warping tools in Modeler. The materials, textures, and details were added in Substance Painter and the rendered using Painter’s built-in iRay renderer.
